Colonel Janet Munn currently serves as the Training Principal at the College for Officer Training in New York. She has been an officer in The Salvation Army for 28 years and has served globally in leadership, and in local Salvation Army congregations, both urban and suburban.
Janet desires to equip a generation of spiritual leaders who are devoted to Jesus Christ, His Word, to prayer, to the beauty of His holiness, and reaching the world for whom Christ died.
Janet has given many summers of her life to summer camping ministry for underprivileged children and youth. In contexts ranging from local, regional, to international, she calls people to 24/7 prayer, to corporate prayer and fasting, and to accountability and discipleship in community through small groups.
Janet describes the Bible as the most invigorating, disturbing, and enlivening thing she has ever read, and is endeavouring to live in the light of it.
Janet is passionate about the fullness of Christ being manifest in this generation and is laboring to see The Salvation Army become an Army on its knees.
Janet is the daughter of a Nazarene pastor-father and a disciple-making-mother; the wife of an Anglo-American-egalitarian-husband and the mother of two beautiful, articulate, and blessed young adults, Nealson and Lt. Olivia, both of whom live in New York City.
Janet has recently completed her Doctor of Ministry degree from Ashland Theological Seminary in Transformational Leadership.
